Hi, my name is Andy McShane and I am the founder and CEO of Wealthplicity. My financial journey started very similar to how yours is starting now. I searched for a solution that would teach me what all of this investing jargon means and where to start.

But, as I persevered and began to see my gains compound, I knew that I was on the right path. And I had my neighbor to thank!

With his help I knew that I could actually grasp the fundamentals of solid investing.

Now I feel like I am in control of my own destiny and financial future!

Since I was able to learn these fundamentals of investing, I felt like we were on to something.

These fundamentals of investing could be explained in a language that was much easier to understand than the language that the stodgy, antiquated investment “professionals” were using to dominate the investing world.

So, I went back to my super knowledgeable and patient neighbor (his name is Tom btw… more on him in a minute). Together, we developed a series of five courses, along with an introductory portfolio for the new investor. (Think of this portfolio as “training wheels” for the early investor!)

Tom Lauman graduated from UVA’s McIntire School of Commerce with a degree in Finance. Outside of the classroom, he was one of the captains of the rugby team. Later Tom received his MBA from Loyola University in Maryland.

Tom spent 26 years as Managing Director of Stifel Financial where he executed equity transactions and developed relationships with many of the largest and successful hedge funds, pension funds, mutual funds, and institutional money managers in the country.

With forty years of experience across all aspects of investing, Tom has helped numerous clients build wealth and achieve their financial goals through sound investing.
